    • 4 catfish fillets
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
    • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
    • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

    Method

    • Step-by-Step Method for Baked Catfish
    • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F)
    • Lightly grease a baking dish with a small amount of olive oil
    • Pat catfish fillets dry with paper towels
    • Arrange catfish fillets in a single layer in the baking dish
    • In a small bowl, combine remaining olive oil and melted butter
    • Brush olive oil and butter mixture evenly over each fillet
    • In a separate bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper
    • Sprinkle seasoning mix evenly onto both sides of each fillet
    • Drizzle lemon juice over the seasoned fillets
    • Sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly over the top of each fillet
    • Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork and breadcrumbs are golden
    • Remove from oven and let rest for 2–3 minutes
    • Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over fillets before serving
    • For plating, arrange each fillet on a warm plate, garnished with extra parsley and lemon wedges if desired
    • Serve immediately for best flavor and texture
