    Ingredients

    • 2 haddock fillets
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
    • 1 mango, diced
    • 1 red onion, diced
    • 1 red pepper, diced
    • 1 jalapeno, diced
    • 1 lime, juiced
    • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Method

    • Step-by-Step Method: Barbecued Haddock with Mango Salsa
    • Preheat your barbecue (or grill) to medium-high heat, ensuring grates are clean and lightly oiled.
    • Rinse haddock fillets under cold water, then pat dry with paper towels.
    • Combine olive oil, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl; mix well to form a marinade.
    • Brush both sides of the haddock fillets evenly with the olive oil and smoked paprika marinade.
    • Set the marinated haddock fillets aside to rest while you prepare the salsa.
    • Peel and dice the mango into small, even cubes; place in a mixing bowl.
    • Dice the red onion finely and add to the bowl containing mango.
    • Dice the red pepper into small cubes; add to the same bowl.
    • Finely dice the jalapeño, removing seeds if less heat is desired; add to bowl.
    • Squeeze lime juice over the diced ingredients.
    • Add chopped cilantro to the bowl.
    • Season the salsa with salt and pepper to taste, then toss gently to combine all ingredients.
    • Place haddock fillets on the preheated barbecue; cook for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
    • Use a fish spatula to remove the haddock fillets carefully from the grill.
    • Transfer each grilled haddock fillet to a serving plate.
    • Spoon generous amounts of mango salsa over each fillet or serve alongside.
    • Garnish with additional cilantro if desired; serve immediately while hot.
