    Ingredients

    • 2 Barramundi fillets
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Lemon juice (optional)

    Method

    • Step by Step Method for Barramundi with Garlic and Parsley
    • Pat both Barramundi fillets dry with paper towel to remove excess moisture
    • Season both sides of each fillet generously with salt and pepper
    • Mince the garlic cloves and chop the parsley finely
    • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat
    • Once oil is shimmering, add Barramundi fillets skin-side down (if skin on)
    • Sear fillets for 3–4 minutes until golden and edges turn opaque
    • While fillets sear, combine the garlic, parsley, and remaining olive oil in a small bowl
    • Flip fillets carefully and cook on other side for 2–3 minutes until just cooked through
    • In the last 1 minute of cooking, add garlic and parsley mixture to the pan, spooning over fillets
    • Allow aromatics to sizzle with fish, infusing flavor, but avoid burning garlic
    • Optional: Squeeze lemon juice over fillets just before removing from heat
    • Transfer fillets to warm plates
    • Spoon pan juices with garlic and parsley over each fillet
    • Serve with extra chopped parsley as garnish
    • Suggest plating with a wedge of lemon and a light salad or steamed greens on the side
