    Ingredients

    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
    • 1/2 onion, diced
    • 1 carrot, diced
    • 1/2 bell pepper, diced
    • 2 cups cooked white rice
    • 1/2 pound cooked crab meat
    • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
    • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
    • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
    • 2 green onions, sliced
    • 1 egg, lightly beaten
    • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro

    Method

    • To prepare Crab Fried Rice, heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. 
    • Add the garlic, ginger, onion, carrot, and bell pepper and cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes. 
    • Add the cooked rice, crab meat, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and white pepper and cook for another 5 minutes. 
    • Push the ingredients to the sides of the pan and add the beaten egg in the centre. Cook until the egg is set, then stir everything together. 
    • Finally, top with the green onions and cilantro and serve.
