    • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
    • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

    Method

    • Step-by-step method for Crab Imperial
    • Gather all ingredients and cooking tools
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
    • Pick through the crabmeat to remove any bits of shell or cartilage
    • In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper
    • Mix until all wet ingredients and seasonings are fully blended
    • In a separate bowl, toss together chopped green onions, chopped parsley, and crabmeat
    • Gently fold the mayonnaise mixture into the crab mixture to combine, taking care not to break up the crab
    • Divide the crab mixture into individual ovenproof ramekins or a shallow baking dish
    • In a small bowl, combine melted butter and breadcrumbs until all crumbs are moistened
    • Sprinkle the buttered breadcrumbs evenly over the top of the crab mixture in each ramekin or dish
    • Dust the top of each portion with paprika for color and flavor
    • Place ramekins or baking dish in the oven on a center rack
    • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the mixture is hot throughout
    • Remove from oven and let rest for 2–3 minutes before serving
    • Plate each ramekin on a small plate with a wedge of lemon for garnish
    • Sprinkle additional chopped parsley over the top for freshness
    • Serve Crab Imperial immediately while hot, accompanied by a green salad or steamed asparagus if desired
