This garlic shrimp recipe is ready in 15 minutes. This shrimp dish is easy to make and can be served on its own or with pasta or cheesy grits. This garlic butter shrimp is the ultimate comfort food.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Mix the shrimp, olive oil, lime juice, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper together in a bowl. Marinate for 15 minutes.

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add the shrimp and cook for about 3 minutes on each side, or until pink and fully cooked.

  • Add the garlic and cumin, cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat and serve sprinkled with red pepper flakes if desired. 

  • Serving Suggestions: You can also serve this with flour tortillas, tortilla chips, as an omelette filling or just on its own.
