    Ingredients

    • 2 salmon steaks
    • 1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning
    • 1 teaspoon crumbled dried thyme
    • 1 teaspoon crushed dried rosemary
    • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Method

    • Step-by-Step Method: Grilled Salmon Steaks Italian Style
    • Pat salmon steaks dry with paper towels
    • Lay salmon steaks on a flat plate or tray
    • Sprinkle dried Italian seasoning evenly over both sides of each steak
    • Sprinkle dried thyme and crushed rosemary over both sides of each steak
    • Drizzle fresh lime juice evenly over the salmon steaks
    • Season both sides lightly with salt and pepper to taste
    • Set salmon aside for 10 minutes to marinate at room temperature
    • Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 200–230°C or 400–450°F)
    • Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking
    • Place salmon steaks on the preheated grill
    • Grill for 3–4 minutes on the first side, without moving the fish
    • Gently flip each steak with a fish spatula or tongs
    • Grill for another 3–4 minutes, or until salmon is opaque and just cooked through
    • Remove salmon steaks from the grill and rest for 2 minutes
    • Plate the salmon steaks neatly on warm plates
    • Optionally garnish with a light sprinkle of extra Italian seasoning or a sprig of fresh rosemary
    • Serve immediately, with fresh lime wedges on the side if desired
    • For plating, arrange simply with the salmon centered and seasoning visible for visual appeal
    • Suggest serving with a side of grilled seasonal vegetables or a light green salad for contrast
