    Ingredients

    • 2 herring fillets
    • 1 cucumber, peeled and diced
    • 1 onion, diced
    • 2 tablespoons of vinegar
    • 2 teaspoons of sugar
    • 1 teaspoon of mustard
    • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
    • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
    • 1 tablespoon of fresh dill, chopped

    Method

    • Begin by preparing the herring fillets. Remove the skin and bones and cut the fillets into small cubes.
    • In a large bowl, mix together the diced cucumber, onion, vinegar, sugar, mustard, pepper, salt, and oil.
    • Add the herring cubes to the bowl and mix everything together until the ingredients are well combined.
    • Sprinkle the fresh dill over the salad and mix again.
    • Serve the salad immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
