    Ingredients

    • 2 lbs mussels and clams (any combination)
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 1/4 cup white wine
    • 1/4 cup chicken broth
    • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
    • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
    • Salt and pepper, to taste

    Method

    • Begin by cleaning the mussels and clams. Discard any that are cracked or open.
    • Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
    • Add the garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add the butter and stir until melted.
    • Add the white wine and chicken broth and bring to a boil.
    • Add the mussels and clams and reduce the heat to low.
    • Cover the pot and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the mussels and clams have opened. Discard any that have not opened.
    • Add the red pepper flakes, parsley, salt, and pepper and stir to combine. Serve warm.
