    Oyster sliders are an easy and delicious way to enjoy the flavour of the sea. They are a great appetizer or light meal and can be prepared in minutes. These sliders are made with shucked oysters, olive oil, butter, lemon juice, garlic, capers, parsley, and seasonings. They are then topped with mayonnaise, lettuce, red onion, tomatoes, and pickles. Serve on slider buns for a delicious and satisfying meal.

    Ingredients

    • 12 slider buns
    • 2 dozen oysters, shucked
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
    • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
    • 2 tablespoons capers
    • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
    • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
    • 1/4 cup sliced red onion
    • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
    • 1/4 cup sliced pickles

    Method

    • To begin, preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add the olive oil and butter and let it melt.
    • Add the shucked oysters and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    • Add the lemon juice, garlic, capers, and parsley and season with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the oysters are golden brown.
    • To assemble the sliders, spread the mayonnaise on the slider buns. Top with the cooked oysters, lettuce, red onion, tomatoes, and pickles. Serve immediately.
