Begin by seasoning the monkfish fillet with salt and pepper.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the monkfish fillet to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the monkfish from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt the butter and add the garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add the lemon juice and parsley, and cook for an additional minute.
Return the monkfish to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes, until the sauce is thick and creamy. Serve immediately.
