    Ingredients

    • 4 perch fillets
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

    Method

    • Step-by-Step Method: Pan-Fried Perch with Garlic and Parsley
    • Pat perch fillets dry on both sides with paper towels.
    • Season fillets evenly with salt and pepper on both sides.
    • Mince the garlic cloves finely and set aside.
    • Chop the fresh parsley and set aside.
    • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Once the oil is shimmering, place two perch fillets in the skillet, skin-side down if applicable.
    • Cook fillets for 2–3 minutes per side until fish is golden and easily flakes with a fork.
    • Remove cooked fillets from the skillet and set on a warm plate.
    • Add remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil to the skillet.
    • Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until just fragrant (do not brown).
    • Return all cooked fillets to the skillet, spooning garlic oil over the top.
    • Sprinkle chopped parsley over the fillets and remove skillet from heat.
    • Serve immediately with optional lemon wedges on the side.
    • Arrange fillets neatly on warmed plates and drizzle pan juices over each portion.
    • Garnish each plate with additional chopped parsley and a lemon wedge for freshness.
