    Ingredients

    • Cooked prawns
    • Cocktail sauce (mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, Tabasco sauce, brandy, horseradish sauce)
    • Crisp lettuce
    • Cucumber
    • Avocado
    • Cherry tomatoes
    • Lemon wedges (optional)

    Method

    • Step-by-Step Method for Prawn Cocktail
    • Wash and dry the crisp lettuce leaves thoroughly
    • Slice the cucumber into thin rounds
    • Halve the cherry tomatoes
    • Cut the avocado in half, remove the stone, scoop out the flesh, and slice
    • Prepare lemon wedges for serving (optional)
    • In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, Tabasco sauce, brandy, and horseradish sauce to make the cocktail sauce
    • Pat cooked prawns dry with kitchen paper
    • Combine sliced cucumber, avocado, and cherry tomatoes in a bowl and toss gently
    • Arrange lettuce leaves in the base of serving glasses or bowls
    • Add the cucumber, avocado, and tomato mixture on top of the lettuce
    • Place the cooked prawns neatly over the salad base
    • Spoon the cocktail sauce generously over the prawns
    • Garnish with a lemon wedge on the side (if using)
    • Serve immediately, ensuring each portion is chilled and well presented
