    Ingredients

    • Prawns (1 lb)
    • Egg (1)
    • Flour (1/2 cup)
    • Baking powder (1 teaspoon)
    • Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
    • Oil for frying (as needed)

    Method

    • In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
    • Beat the egg in a separate bowl and add to the flour mixture.
    • Add enough water to make a thick batter.
    • Heat oil in a large skillet.
    • Dip the prawns in the batter and fry for about 3 minutes on each side.
    • Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
    • Serve with a dipping sauce of your choice.
