    Ingredients

    • 4 (4-ounce) salmon fillets
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt 
    • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
    • 2 ripe avocados, diced
    • 1/2 cup diced red onion
    • 1/2 cup diced fresh tomato 
    • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro 
    • 1 lime, juiced 
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt 
    • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

    Method

    • Step-by-Step Method for Salmon with Avocado Salsa
    • Pat salmon fillets dry using kitchen paper
    • Season salmon fillets evenly with 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper
    • Heat a nonstick or lightly oiled skillet over medium-high heat
    • Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the hot skillet
    • Cook salmon for 4–5 minutes, without moving, until the bottom is golden and releases easily
    • Flip salmon fillets carefully and cook for another 2–3 minutes or until cooked to desired doneness
    • Remove salmon from pan and let rest for a couple of minutes
    • While salmon cooks, dice 2 ripe avocados and place in a bowl
    • Add 1/2 cup diced red onion to the bowl
    • Add 1/2 cup diced fresh tomato to the bowl
    • Add 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro to the bowl
    • Squeeze juice of 1 lime over avocado mixture
    • Season salsa mix with 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper
    • Gently toss avocado salsa ingredients together to combine, taking care not to mash the avocado
    • To serve, place salmon fillets on plates
    • Spoon generous amount of avocado salsa over each salmon fillet
    • Garnish plates with extra cilantro leaves if desired
    • Serve immediately for best flavor and texture
