    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
    • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
    • 1/2 cup dry white wine
    • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
    • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
    • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
    • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

    Method

    • Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels
    • Mince the garlic cloves and set aside
    • Chop the fresh parsley and set aside
    • Grate the Parmesan cheese and set aside
    • Heat a large skillet over medium heat
    • Add the olive oil to the skillet and allow it to heat until shimmering
    • Add the minced garlic, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes to the skillet
    • Sauté the mixture for 30–60 seconds until fragrant, stirring regularly
    • Pour the dry white wine into the skillet, scraping up any browned bits
    • Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and stir to combine
    • Bring the liquid mixture to a gentle simmer and reduce by about one third (2–3 minutes)
    • Season the shrimp with salt and freshly ground black pepper
    • Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer
    • Cook the shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side, until just opaque and pink
    • Add the butter to the pan and swirl until melted and fully incorporated
    • Stir in half of the chopped parsley and remove from heat
    • Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if necessary
    • Arrange the shrimp on serving plates or a platter
    • Spoon the white wine sauce evenly over the shrimp
    • Garnish with the remaining fresh parsley and a generous sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese
    • Serve immediately, optionally with crusty bread or over a simple salad
    • For plating, fan the shrimp in a semicircle and drizzle with sauce for an elegant appearance
