    Shrimp lettuce wraps are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main dish. These wraps are made with cooked shrimp, lettuce, bell peppers, carrots, green onions, cilantro, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. They are packed with flavour and are a great way to get your daily dose of protein and vegetables. Plus, they are easy to make and can be ready in just minutes.

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb. cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
    • 1 head butter lettuce
    • 1/2 cup sliced red bell pepper
    • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
    • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
    • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
    • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
    • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
    • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Method

    • Start by preparing the shrimp. Peel and devein the shrimp, then season with salt and pepper.
    • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp are cooked through.
    • Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
    • Wash and dry the lettuce leaves.
    • In a large bowl, combine the bell pepper, carrots, green onions, cilantro, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar.
    • Add the cooked shrimp to the bowl and mix everything together.
    • To assemble the wraps, place a lettuce leaf on a plate and spoon the shrimp mixture onto the leaf.
    • Roll up the lettuce leaf and enjoy!
