    • 4 (6-ounce) trout fillets
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
    • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
    • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
    • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh tarragon
    • 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano
    • 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh chives
    • 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
    • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)


    • To prepare Trout with Herb Butter, begin by seasoning the trout fillets with salt and pepper.
