    • 2 (6-ounce) cans tuna, drained
    • 2 cups cooked broccoli florets
    • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
    • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
    • 1/4 cup finely diced onion
    • 1/4 cup Italian-style bread crumbs
    • 2 tablespoons melted butter
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Method

    • Tuna and Broccoli Bake – Step-by-Step Method
    • Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F)
    • Grease a medium baking dish with a small amount of melted butter
    • In a mixing bowl, combine drained tuna and cooked broccoli florets
    • Add finely diced onion to the tuna and broccoli mixture
    • Season the mixture lightly with salt and pepper
    • In a separate small bowl, mix mayonnaise and shredded sharp cheddar cheese together
    • Fold the mayonnaise and cheese mixture into the tuna, broccoli, and onion until evenly combined
    • Transfer the combined mix into the greased baking dish, spreading evenly
    • In another small bowl, mix Italian-style bread crumbs with the remaining melted butter
    • Sprinkle the buttery bread crumbs evenly over the tuna and broccoli mixture in the dish
    • Place baking dish in the preheated oven on the middle rack
    • Bake for 18–22 minutes, until top is golden brown and bubbly
    • Remove from oven and allow to rest for 3–5 minutes before serving
    • For plating, scoop a portion onto a warm plate, ensuring both tuna and topping are visible
    • Garnish with a sprig of fresh herb (optional, not included in nutrition but for presentation)
    • Serve with a wedge of lemon or simple green salad if desired (optional)
