• Gather all ingredients: catfish fillets, salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, olive oil, butter
• Rinse catfish fillets gently under cold water and pat dry with paper towels
• Combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper in a bowl to create a spice blend
