    Ingredients

    • 8 prawns, butterflied
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
    • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
    • 1/4 cup grated mozzarella cheese
    • 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • Green onion, finely chopped, for garnish

    Method

    • How to Make Cheesy Prawn Bake
    • Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
    • Prepare a baking dish large enough to lay all butterflied prawns in a single layer.
    • Place the butterflied prawns on a plate, pat dry with a paper towel.
    • Season prawns lightly with salt and pepper on both sides.
    • Arrange the seasoned, butterflied prawns cut side up in the baking dish.
    • In a small bowl, mix together the chopped garlic and olive oil.
    • Spoon or brush the garlic-olive oil mixture evenly over each prawn.
    • In a separate bowl, combine grated parmesan, mozzarella, and cheddar cheeses.
    • Sprinkle the mixed cheeses evenly over the prawns, ensuring each prawn has a good cheesy coating.
    • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven.
    • Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted, golden, and the prawns are cooked through (opaque and firm).
    • Remove the dish from the oven and let it rest for 2 minutes.
    • Transfer prawns carefully to serving plates.
    • Garnish with finely chopped green onion sprinkled over the top.
    • Serve immediately, ideally with a fresh salad or crusty bread on the side.
    • For an elegant touch, drizzle a little extra olive oil around the plate and add lemon wedges if desired.
