    Ingredients

    • 1 pound of cockles
    • 4 ounces of bacon, diced
    • 1/2 cup of white wine
    • 1/4 cup of chicken broth
    • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano
    • 1/4 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
    • 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
    • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
    • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley

    Method

    • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat to prepare Cockles with Bacon. 

    • Once the oil is hot, add the bacon and cook until it is lightly browned. 

    • Next, add the cockles and cook for two minutes. 

    • Then, pour in the white wine, chicken broth, and spices. 

    • Simmer the mixture for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. 

    • Finally, remove the pan from the heat and stir in the parsley.
