    Ingredients

    • 2 haddock fillets
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Lemon wedges, for garnish (optional)

    Method

    • Step-by-Step Method: Grilled Haddock with Garlic Butter
    • Take haddock fillets out of the refrigerator and bring to room temperature for even cooking
    • Rinse fillets under cold water and pat completely dry with paper towels
    • Season both sides of the fillets with salt and pepper
    • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 200°C/400°F) for at least 10 minutes
    • While the grill preheats, in a small saucepan or microwave-safe dish, melt the butter
    • Stir the minced garlic into the melted butter and let it infuse for 2-3 minutes
    • Brush both sides of the haddock fillets with a portion of the garlic butter mixture, reserving some for serving
    • Lightly oil the grill grates to minimize sticking
    • Place haddock fillets on the preheated grill, skin side down if skin-on, and cook for 3-4 minutes
    • Gently flip the fillets using a wide spatula, brush again with garlic butter, and grill for another 2-3 minutes until opaque and flakes easily with a fork
    • Transfer grilled haddock to plates and immediately spoon remaining garlic butter over each fillet
    • Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley evenly over the fillets
    • Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the fish
    • Optional: Plate with a light salad, steamed vegetables, or crusty bread as desired
