    Ingredients

    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 1 large onion, chopped
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    • 2 cups chicken broth
    • 2 cups half-and-half
    • 1 pound cooked lobster meat, chopped
    • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
    • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 cup dry white wine
    • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
    • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

    Method

    • Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat.
    • Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
    • Stir in the flour and cook for a few minutes.
    • Add the chicken broth and half-and-half and bring to a boil.
    • Reduce the heat to low and add the lobster meat, thyme, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.
    • Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the lobster is cooked through.
    • Stir in the parsley and lemon juice and serve.
