    • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
    • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
    • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 cups half-and-half
    • 2 cups oysters, drained
    • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1/2 cup cracker crumbs
    • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
    • 1/4 cup chopped red pepper
    • 1/4 cup chopped celery
    • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
    • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

    Method

    • Step-by-Step Method for "How to Make Oyster Pie"
    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
    • Place unbaked 9-inch pie shell on a baking sheet for easy handling
    • In a small bowl, combine cracker crumbs and grated Parmesan cheese
    • In a sauté pan, melt 1/2 cup butter over medium heat
    • Add chopped green onion, chopped red pepper, and chopped celery to the melted butter
    • Sauté vegetables, stirring occasionally, until softened (about 3-4 minutes)

    • Add salt, pepper, celery seed, paprika, and dry mustard to the roux; mix well to combine

    • Remove pan from heat and gently fold in drained oysters and chopped parsley
    • Pour the oyster mixture evenly into the prepared pie crust
    • Sprinkle the Parmesan-cracker crumb blend evenly over the top of the filling
    • Place pie in the center of the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top turns golden and the pie is set
    • Let the oyster pie cool for 10 minutes before slicing
    • Plate individual slices with extra chopped parsley for garnish
