In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
Beat the egg in a separate bowl and add to the flour mixture.
Add enough water to make a thick batter.
Heat oil in a large skillet.
Dip the prawns in the batter and fry for about 3 minutes on each side.
Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
Serve with a dipping sauce of your choice.
