    Method

    • Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels
    • Season both sides of salmon fillets lightly with salt and ground black pepper
    • Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat
    • Once melted and foaming, add the salmon fillets, skin-side down if applicable
    • Sear salmon for 3-4 minutes without moving, until golden and crisp
    • Flip salmon fillets and cook other side for an additional 2-3 minutes until just cooked through
