    Ingredients

    • 2 salmon fillets
    • Salt and pepper
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 mango, peeled and diced
    • 1/2 red onion, diced
    • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced
    • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
    • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • Salt and pepper, to taste

    Method

    • Step-by-Step Method for Salmon with Mango Salsa
    • Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towel
    • Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides
    • Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • Once oil is shimmering, place salmon fillets skin side down in the skillet
    • Sear salmon fillets for 3–4 minutes until golden and crisp
    • Flip the salmon fillets and cook an additional 2–4 minutes, depending on thickness, until just cooked through
    • Remove salmon from pan and rest on a plate
    • While salmon cooks, peel and dice the mango into small cubes
    • Dice half a red onion and set aside
    • Seed and finely dice the jalapeño pepper
    • Chop the fresh cilantro
    • In a mixing bowl, combine diced mango, red onion, jalapeño, and chopped cilantro
    • Add freshly squeezed lime juice and honey to the bowl
    • Season mango salsa with salt and pepper to taste
    • Gently toss all salsa ingredients together until well mixed
    • Plate each salmon fillet in the center of a plate
    • Spoon generous amount of mango salsa over each fillet or arrange to the side for contrast
    • Drizzle extra lime juice over the top if desired
    • Garnish with additional cilantro for color and freshness
    • Serve immediately, ideally with a light green salad or steamed vegetables for balance
