    • 4 sea bass fillets
    • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

    Method

    • Sea Bass with Basil-Garlic Butter: Step-by-Step Method
    • Pat sea bass fillets dry with a paper towel
    • Season both sides of fillets with salt and pepper
    • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped basil
    • Set aside the butter mixture at room temperature
    • Heat olive oil in a nonstick or stainless-steel skillet over medium-high heat
    • When oil is hot and shimmering, carefully place sea bass fillets skin-side down in the pan
    • Sear fillets for 3–4 minutes without moving, until the skin is crisp and golden
    • Flip fillets using a fish spatula and cook for another 2–3 minutes, until fish is just opaque and flakes easily
    • Remove fillets from pan and place on serving plates
    • Immediately spoon basil-garlic butter over hot sea bass
    • Let the butter melt over the fish for enhanced flavor and gloss
    • Serve immediately with optional lemon wedges on the side
    • Arrange fillets attractively, skin side up for crispy presentation, garnished with fresh basil if desired
