    • 1/2 lb. bay scallops
    • 1/4 cup butter, melted
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1/4 cup fine dry breadcrumbs
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
    • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • Lemon wedges, for garnish

    Method

    • Step-by-Step Method: Baked Scallops with Parmesan Crust
    • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
    • Pat scallops dry with a paper towel to remove surface moisture
    • Arrange scallops evenly in a single layer in a small oven-safe baking dish
    • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and pepper
    • Pour the seasoned melted butter mixture evenly over the scallops
    • In a separate bowl, mix grated Parmesan cheese and fine dry breadcrumbs until combined
    • Sprinkle the Parmesan-breadcrumb topping evenly over the scallops
    • Transfer the baking dish to the oven
    • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the scallops turn opaque and the crust is golden brown
