    Ingredients

    • 2 cod fillets
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
    • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • Lemon wedges, for garnish (optional)

    Method

    • Grilled Cod with Garlic Butter – Step-by-Step Method
    • Pat cod fillets dry with paper towels
    • Season both sides of cod fillets with salt and pepper
    • Mince garlic cloves finely if not already done
    • Chop fresh parsley finely
    • In a small saucepan, melt butter gently over low heat
    • Add minced garlic to the melted butter and stir for 1 minute, just until fragrant
    • Remove saucepan from heat and stir in chopped parsley
    • Brush both sides of cod fillets with olive oil
    • Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat
    • Oil grill grates using a paper towel dipped in olive oil (hold with tongs)
    • Place cod fillets on the grill, presentation side down
    • Grill cod fillets for 3–4 minutes on the first side without moving them
    • Carefully flip cod fillets with a spatula
    • Grill on the other side for another 3–4 minutes, until cod is opaque and flakes easily
    • Transfer grilled cod fillets to serving plates
    • Spoon garlic butter mixture evenly over each fillet while hot
    • Garnish plates with lemon wedges for squeezing (optional)
    • Sprinkle additional fresh parsley over the top for presentation (optional)
