Mix half the Five-Spice with salt, oil and water to make a paste
Place skate wings in a bowl, add half of the Five-Spice and mix well.
Add flour, mix well and then add the remaining Five-Spice.
Heat the oil in a saucepan and fry the skate wings for about 5 minutes on each side.
When the fish is cooked, transfer it to a plate to serve.
Serving Suggestions: Garnish with parsley and serve with tartare sauce and lemon wedges to squeeze over. Or you may serve on a bed of steamed broccoli and drizzle soy sauce on top. Serve with plain basmati rice or fried bread.
