What Is Scabbard?
Scabbard’s body is elongated, similar to an eel. It is another type of fish that thrives in deep water, i.e. 1,000 metres at Atlantic, Mediterranean and the Pacific Ocean. They are found on the Western British Isles, particularly in the deep Rockall Trough seas in the western part of Ireland. There are two distinct types of Scabbard, the “black” and the “silver”, and it is also known as the “Sabre Fish”.
